How to Recover an Impounded Vehicle

To retrieve an impounded vehicle, the registered owner or authorized driver must provide valid identification, proof of ownership, and any required documentation at the time of release. All applicable towing and storage fees must be paid before the vehicle can be released. Last 6 digits of the VIN
Year, Make, & Model of the vehicle
Proof of Ownership (Vehicle Registration or Title in Your Name)
Date of Impound
A Release Form from the Police Department may be required in some cases. (See below.)
Photo identification such as driver’s license, state id, passport, school or work id

Stolen Recovery
*A Release Form is required regardless of the reason for the tow.


Insurance Coverage: 
If your vehicle is covered by full coverage insurance, the insurance company must call the lot office and provide a claim number. 


Special Circumstances:
Under certain conditions, a vehicle can be released to a second party with a Letter of Authorization/Release Form.


If it’s titled in a Company/Business Name, then the vehicle can be released to a second party with a Notarized Hold Harmless Form.
